Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles: Characterization and its potential biomedical applications

Abstract In recent times, research on the synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles (NPs) has developed rapidly and attracted considerable attention. The use plant extracts is preferred mode for biological NPs due to presence biologically active constituents. Aloe vera a endowed with therapeutic benefits especially in skincare its unique curative properties. present study focused an environmental friendly rapid method phytosynthesis silver (Ag-NPs) using A. gel extract as reductant. synthesized Ag-NPs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), dynamic light scattering (DLS). TEM micrographs showed spherical-shaped diameter 50–100 nm. spectrum displayed broad absorption peak surface plasmon resonance (SPR) at 450 mean size distribution formed investigated DLS technique. Antibacterial studies revealed zones inhibition (9 7 mm) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa Escherichia coli , respectively. Furthermore, antifungal activity was screened, based growth zone different fungal strains. Anticancer mouse melanoma F10B16 cell line 100% concentration 100 µg mL ?1 . phytosynthesized demonstrated marked antimicrobial also exhibited potent cytotoxic effect cells. key findings this indicate that exhibit profound could be potentially ideal alternatives medicinal applications.
